Local Information:

By Train: Netley Railway Station is on the main Southampton (5 miles) to Portsmouth (20 miles) line. To locate Woolston Road you need to leave the station on the north side and use St Mary’s Road to access Hound Way and travel to Woolston Road. It is about 15-20 minute walk from the station. Follow the signs outside the station carpark. Get the latest rail information.

By Bus: The village is served by bus links to and from Southampton City Centre and local villages such as Netley and Hamble le Rice. Bus No.16 goes to Netley Village from Southampton. For more details, please contact First Bus. Telephone: 023 8022 4854 - Travel shop.

By Car: Follow the brown tourist signs for the Royal Victoria Country Park from junction 8 (Windhover roundabout) off the M27 or A27. Turn off the Hamble Lane at the roundabout and take the second exit for Hound Road and then first right for Woolston Road.  Get the latest online road information

Netley Railway Station & The Bunney

Directions to The Bunney, 11 Old School Close, Butlocks Heath, (Netley Abbey), Southampton, Hampshire, England UK SO31 5QJ – Junction 8 / M27.

Travelling from the West, using the A31 to junc. 1 / M27 onto junc. 8 / M27.

Travelling from the North West using the A36 to junc. 2 / M27 onto junc. 8 / M27.

Travelling from the North, using the M3 to junc. 4 (East) onto junc. 5 / M27, then onto junc. 8 / M27.

Travelling from the East, using the M27 to junc 8.

From Portsmoth International Port: Join the M275 heading North towards the M27 for Southampton (West).  Travelling from the East, using the M27 to junc 8.  Approximately 16 miles.

At junction 8 / M27 (signposted Southampton East, Hamble), take the exit for the A3024 (signposted Southampton), passing the sign for (Bursledon, Hamble B3397) to the Windhover Roundabout (Woolston A3025 - Hamble, Netley Abbey B3397).  Taking the 2nd exit by Tesco’s Extra onto the B3397 Hamble Lane towards Royal Victoria Country Park, Netley Abbey.

Take the 2nd exit on the first mini roundabout and onto the second, taking the 2nd exit and onto the traffic lights.  At the traffic lights go straight ahead to the third mini roundabout and take the 2nd exit into Hound Road, Netley Abbey.

Take the fist turning on the right into Woolston Road and travel onto the first turning on the left for Old School Close, Butlocks Heath.  No.11 is straight in front of you as you enter the Close and parking is in the r/h/s car park, second bay in on the l/h/s.
