Welcome you to The Bunney, 11 Old School Close, Butlocks Heath (Netley Abbey), Southampton.

Sue & I are in our fifties and have been running The Bunney for just over four years. We take great delight in meeting our visitors for casual chats and are always available to offer advice and guidance with regard to their stay or planning outtings. We have excellent neighbours who also take an interest in our visitors and they add to the 'welcome'.

We purchased No.11 in September 2006 and carried out the usual transformation of repairs, alterations, decoration and garden make-over jobs.  Our intension was to use the property as Self Catering holiday accommodation, despite all the guidance to undertaking the leasing to tenants.

The Bunney website was launched at the end of February 2007 and we took our first booking from Saturday 23 June 2007.

The Bunney website has gone through many changes and hopefully is improving all the time.  The original idea was to give local information about the area or what goes on in the Southern Parishes - Netley Abbey, Butlocks Heath and Old Netley. Including Hamble-le-Rice.

It was becoming apparent that we needed to include more information for our visitors to browse and widened the net to take in Southampton, Portsmouth, Winchester, Romsey, Eastleigh, Fareham and Gosport etc.  

We were excited about our first booking and the arrival of Rhoda & Sandra.  They made it all seem worthwhile as they really liked what we had done to No.11 and enjoyed holidaying in the area, but most of all Shopping.

After our visitors have returned to their homes, we send out our Feedback Form.  This gives us an idea of how well The Bunney met their expectations. We are continually making improvements for ourselves and from that of our visitor’s feedback.
