The New Forest National Park was created in March 2005 and the New Forest National Park Authority took up its full powers in April 2006 and is Britain's smallest National Park. There is a huge range of places to go and things to do in the New Forest National Park.Originally created in 1079 as a hunting area for William the Conqueror, explore one of the country's last and most extensive Royal Hunting Forests. The New Forest National Park is home to around 4,000 ponies, cattle and deer who roam freely amongst the ancient woodland.

The South Downs National Park was confirmed as a National Park in March 2009, the stunning landscape of the South Downs stretches from Winchester and Petersfield in Hampshire to Eastbourne in East Sussex. Walk, cycle or ride on horseback along the 101 mile South Downs Way and enjoy the wonderful, rolling countryside, described as 'some of England's finest'.Covering an area over 1600 square km, the South Downs National Park is the tenth National Park to be designated in England, offering an area of protected countryside that everyone can visit and enjoy.
